SOUTH FORT MYERS, Fla. A Wednesday morning crash caused power to go out for a portion of Daniels Parkway, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said. The crash happened at the intersection of Daniels Parkway and Treeline Avenue, causing the traffic light there to malfunction, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area for the next several hours, according to the sheriff’s office. The circumstances leading up to the crash, vehicles involved and additional injuries were unclear. It’s also unclear when power will be restored. No further information was immediately available.
