PUNTA GORDA, Fla. A suspect sought for months in an aggravated battery case has been arrested.

Poore was found Thursday morning by a Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office fugitive apprehension unit, the sheriff’s office said on Facebook.

A preliminary investigation lasted about three days, but the sheriff’s office didn’t issue an arrest warrant for Poore until Sept. 6.

The crime shook neighbors, many of whom pleaded for answers about the violence in their community.
