“A couple times I brought up things to him about important things and its resulted in a lawsuit and another complaint that should have been addressed earlier and followed through and I was given an answer that wasn’t sufficient,” Giovanneli said.

Giovanneli distributed a three-page letter to other members detailing her concerns, but the rest of the six board members disagree.

“He’s very transparent with what’s going on, so I feel like although no one is perfect, I think that he’s done a great job of taking the reigns of this district and moving us forward,” Lee County School board chairman Mary Fischer said.

Another school board meeting is scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
