NORTH PORT, Fla. One person was shot and wounded Thursday night near Warm Mineral Springs.
The victim was flown to a hospital from the scene on the 8300 block of Herbison Avenue, the North Port Police Department said.
Police identified the victim only as a male, calling it an “isolated incident.” It’s unclear if they’ve identified a suspect.

“We understand that you may have more questions about who is responsible and why they did it. This is what we can release at this time,” police spokesman Josh Taylor said in a press release.
