A video posted to social media depicts a brawl between people outside a Victoria’s Secret store. The video shows a woman in a bright pink shirt being kicked, stomped and punched by a group of other women, then chasing after them and exchanging blows. One woman wheels a small child in a stroller into the midst of the fight and kicks at another woman. The Florida Department of Children and Families has opened a child protection investigation into the fight, DCF spokeswoman Natalie Harrell said. DCF hasn’t had prior contact with the child or the mother. The fight took place around 6:42 p.m. Sunday, according to a Fort Myers Police Department report. A woman identified as a victim of the fight told police she believes it was retaliation for the death of Samuel Jones, 22, who was shot and killed Friday as part of a double-homicide in Lehigh Acres. The confrontation lasted less than a minute before security broke it up. It’s unclear if any arrests have been made. A racially charged comment about the fight briefly appeared on the Facebook page of the wife of a Lee County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant, who said her account was hacked. The sheriff’s office is investigating that post, Undersheriff Carmine Marceno said Monday.
