Fort Myers police closed Alhambra Drive in Fort Myers between Colonial and McGregor for over an hour Monday afternoon.
According to FMPD, a resident found a suspicious package in the carport.
A bomb squad, ambulance and fire engine are all visible at the scene. Lee County Sheriff’s office is assisting FMPD.
Law enforcement deemed the package not to be dangerous and the scene has since cleared.
All roads are now open.
