Police responded to a call about a vehicle burglary in progress around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

A witness said a man with no shirt, black shorts, black shoes and a backpack got into one of his neighbor’s cars.

Officers quickly arrived at the scene and police were able to locate the suspect, Joshua Clemons, 19, who matched the witness description.

Investigators determined that Clemons had burglarized four different vehicles and stole items from each.

Clemons was arrested, taken to the Cape Coral Police Department for processing, and later transferred to the Lee County Jail. He faces charges of burglary of a vehicle, petit theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
