Scammers have been sending out fake SunPass toll bills to people saying they owe money when they don’t.

The Florida Department of Transportation sent WINK News a snapshot of what these fake emails look like.

Scammers targeting SunPass users

Here’s what to look out for:

  • The emails are coming from the account: SunPassNotice@ezpass-collections.net.
  • The sender is “Sun Pass Collections Inc.” and “Linebargar Goggen Blaiir, LLP”
  • The notices also include a link to an invoice.
  • The scammers threaten that if you don’t pay you’ll be summoned to court within 30 days.

FDOT says none of this is associated with the department. They also want to remind you that while the Florida Turnpike Enterprise does use email to communicate with customers it does not send toll invoices through email.

Those are only sent by U.S. mail.

The official website to make payment is SunPass.com (TollByPlate.com will also route customers to SunPass.com.

Customers who have any questions concerning the validity of any communication they have received regarding their accounts are encouraged to contact us by visiting SunPass.com, or by calling the SunPass Customer Service Center at 1-888-TOLL-FLA (1-888-865-5352).
