Funeral service for Master Sgt. Daniel Hinton. Credit: WINK News The Florida Highway Patrol will be honoring the life and career of Master Sgt. Daniel Hinton Wednesday with a procession and service at Hertz Arena. Hinton suffered a heart attack during the training exercise and was taken to Gulf Coast Hospital where he died on February, 19. Master Sgt. Hinton served with the FHP for 32 years. A viewing is being held Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gendron Funeral Home, 2325 East Mall Drive in Fort Myers. On Wednesday, the procession will depart from Grendon Funeral Home at 2325 East Mall Drive, across from the Edison Mall.
