An underage victim’s social media account was reportedly hacked, and private photos and videos were stolen and saved by an unknown person. The victim told law enforcement the suspect began to message them and demanded photos and videos of sex acts.

Cape Coral Police Department is investigating the extortion reported by an underage victim and their mother.

“Our major crimes unit is very good at what they do,” CCPD Sgt. Allan Kolak said. “So if there is possibility of that happening in other areas they would definitely know about that and get in contact with other agencies and detectives. And of course they would be very diligent in going after the case.”

The victim said someone hacked their Snapchat account then proceeded to contact them through the app. The victim told police they “appeared to have tan–brown skin and a Hispanic accent.”

The person demanded the victim send sexual content to them, or they would post the already stolen “private” photos and video to social media and porn websites.

Cape Coral Police will not get into case specifics whether there is any possible connection to a similar ongoing case in Collier County with suspect Jorge Ingunza JrNo official connection has been made at this time.
