Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash that killed a 12-year-old Naples girl on an ATV in Collier County.
According to FHP, Kaeli McCormick was traveling east riding a 2013 Honda Rancher ATV along Platt Road around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when, for an unknown reason, the ATV overturned and landed on the girl, just east of Corkscrew Lane.
She was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital to treat critical injuries. She succumbed to those injuries Monday afternoon, according to FHP.
