Breakfast burritos Ruiz Food Products, Inc. is recalling about 55,000 pounds of frozen sausage breakfast burritos due to possible foreign matter contamination, according to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS.) EL MONTEREY Signature BURRITO EGG, SAUSAGE & CHEESE (USDA) The burritos were produced on Oct. 15, 2019 and include just the 3.38 lb. Value Pack containing 12 individually wrapped, 4.5 oz. “El Monterey Signature Burrito Egg, Sausage and Cheese” with a best by date of 1/15/2021 and a lot code of 19288. The problem was discovered when the firm notified FSIS of three consumer complaints involving pieces of white, semi-rigid plastic found in the product. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. If you have purchased these products, you are urged to not consume them. Throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Gas grills Also being recalled are two models of MR. STEAK Gas Grill sold at Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s and ABT Appliance & Electronics stores nationwide and online at basspro.com and cabellas.com. The company has recalled about 3,300 units sold in the U.S. The recall includes two types of grills: a four-burner (Model no. MS-4B-PG) and a five-burner (Model no. MS-5B-PG.) The grills are stainless steel with black trim and have four or five black and red dials. The words “MR. STEAK” are printed below the thermometer on the grills’ lid. MR. STEAK website, the regulator hose with an attached fuel gauge can melt if it comes in contact with the bottom of the grill’s firebox, posing a fire hazard. Bass Pro has received nine reports of grill fires, but no injuries or property damage have been reported. MR. STEAK grill fuel line shown not mounted to side of grill. (MR. STEAK) The recall also applies to SKUs 2366916 and 2366917 if the consumer added an aftermarket fuel gauge to the regulator assembly. A label on the inside of the left compartment door or on the back of the grill identifies the model number of the grill. The SKU is printed on the purchase receipt. If your grill has a fuel gauge attached to the regulator hose and the fuel line is not attached to the side of the grill, please stop use and contact the MR. STEAK recall hotline to receive a free repair kit.
