Two killed in Hendry County crash

Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a Hendry County crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol said a 19-year-old Hialeah woman was driving a vehicle on Flaghole Road, west of Clewiston, when she left the road and drove into a canal.

The driver was killed, along with a 14-year-old female passenger from Hialeah. The FHP has not released their identities but said their next of kin has been notified.

A 20-year-old male passenger suffered serious injuries, according to troopers.

The crash happened at around 9:20 a.m.
