There are some big changes coming to one part of Southwest Florida, including more jobs.

Collier County commissioners agreed to move forward to allow new development along Collier Boulevard from Golden Gate Parkway to I-75.

One of those projects is a $70 million distribution center for packaging supply company Uline.

The nearly one million square foot facility is expected to bring 190 warehouse jobs and 30 office jobs.

It’ll sit right next to the new and developing Paradise Sports Complex.

According to project documents, the county and Uline are working together to make the area into an almost campus-like environment, with additional parking and better lake access. The sports complex also has a new fitness center on the way.

Phil Hunt, executive vice president, of Uline says, “We build Class A buildings and Class A parks and your entertainment and sports complex is top-notch and we thought that would be a perfect fit for our building and your needs, so we’re very excited.”

With the addition of Uline, commissioners are betting on this area to become a focal point for the local economy.
