Florida Gulf Coast’s Kierstan Bell received an honorable mention nod from The Associated Press as it named this year’s All-America women’s team.

Bell is the highest-rated recruit to ever play for the Eagles, and the 2020-21 season was spectacular for the sophomore guard. She was named ASUN Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, was voted to the All-ASUN first team, was named ASUN Player of the Week six times and ASUN Newcomer of the Week 10 times. She also was named ASUN Tournament MVP and was named to the ASUN All-Tournament team.

Among the Ohio State transfer’s accomplishments this season is the single-game scoring record at FGCU with 42 points and 15 rebounds against Jacksonville on Feb. 21.

Bell’s next stop is the NCAA women’s tournament, where the 11-seed Eagles will play 6-seed Michigan on Sunday.
