A North Fort Myers man was arrested Monday morning after deputies say they found drugs in his possession during a traffic stop.

North District Lee County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Keith Alape, 46, at Moody Road and Hancock Bridge Parkway shortly before 7 a.m. They say they found both Fentanyl and cocaine on his person and arrested him.

Deputies also learned Alape was recently released from prison and registered as a felon earlier in August. He was convicted in Lee County for his involvement in a grand theft investigation back in 2018. Alape was transported to the Lee County jail without incident. He now faces charges of drug possession.
