Friday night marked Florida Gulf Coast University’s 11th annual Night at the Nest fundraiser.

The yearly event raises money for scholarships that go directly to FGCU student-athletes.

During this year’s event, attendees were able to enjoy an auction, cocktails, and dinner at Alico Arena in Fort Myers.

The fundraiser also featured WINK News Anchor Lois Thome as the emcee. Some of the university’s student-athletes served as the wait staff as well.

FGCU Basketball Player Caleb Catto said, “it’s super important we serve and also see donors face to face. They don’t know how much it means to us and fuels our program.”

Those attending the fundraiser said they were happy to get together again after last year’s event was held virtually because of the pandemic.
