Trash is piling up in front of a Lehigh Acres home. And neighbors say this isn’t the first time this house has been in the spotlight.
There’s furniture with the paper still on it and shoes and boxes outside of a house. While it may look bad, the home’s new owner says this is the least of his problems.
Paul Williamson bought this Lehigh Acres home. “Poop from cockroaches, bones, there’s a possum still in there we’re going to help get out. A couple of cats were still around,” Williamson said.
He says all signs point to the previous owner of the home as to why the house is in this condition. WINK News first reported on the home’s previous owner, Luuly Quaing, in 2019. She had as many as 40 dogs and cats taken from he home when authorities found those animals living in poor conditions.
Two years later, Quaing faces animal cruelty and probation violation charges. Williamson bought the foreclosed-on home about a week ago. “We’ve ran into hoarders before, but not as bad as this one, though,” said Willaimson.
He says he didn’t know what happened until the neighbors told him. Now, he had a large project on his hands. He spent two days clearing out everything.
“Masks, respirator. Smell pretty bad? Horrible!” Willaimson said. Paul says to give him a month, and the house will be as good as new.
“Once you clean it all up, it’ll be as nice as any other home in this neighborhood,” he said.
