(Credit: Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples) In 2022, the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples launched new, discounted tickets for low-income families to make sure all children have access to the space dedicated for hands-on learning. From the cafe to the market, and even an igloo to experience the seasons, the museum houses hours of fun and exploration for children. Jon Foerster, the chief operating officer of the museum, says they are refocusing on making sure anyone can walk through their doors no matter their income level, and that’s why admission is only $2 if you have an EBT card. “That’s what CMON is about, it’s about strengthening families, making sure that every kid is ready for kindergarten, that every kid has the chance to live and play and dream,” Foerster said. “Big, giant dreams. And this is a great place to do it.” The museum also offers discounted rates at $9 a person to military and first responders. The normal cost for residents of Lee or Collier counties is $15 for adults and $13 for children, but if you have a library pass in either county, you can check out a pass and that will get you four tickets to the museum for free. On Friday night, WINK News anchors Corey Lazar and Lindsey Sablan have the honor of being emcees for the children’s museum’s annual fundraiser, Night at the Museum: Superheroes Unite. WINK’s partners at Gulfshore Life are sponsoring the event. It’s sold out, but you can make a donation on the CMON website or find the museum hours. $250 covers the cost for five families to get into the museum.
