Another day of nearly 90-degree temperatures

Southwest Florida’s unseasonable warmth continued Friday with highs warming into the upper 80s and even the low 90s for some inland areas under a mix of sun and clouds.

Naples still may even break a record today with a forecast high of 87 degrees and a current record of 86 degrees. Fort Myers will likely break or tie another record on Saturday, with the record at 87 degrees and the forecast at 88 degrees.

The dry, warm weather pattern persists through the entire weekend with highs in the upper 80s each day.

A weak system will begin moving through for early next week, but is only set to bring us minimal impacts. Only a stray shower will be possible Monday and Tuesday as it moves through with a slight cool down back into the lower 80s expected.
