A death investigation began on Easter morning. That’s what neighbors who live along Dale Avenue North in Lehigh Acres woke up to. Deputies were canvassing this neighborhood early Sunday morning. One neighbor, who didn’t want to speak on camera, told WINK News that he saw Lee County deputies pull a body out of a car. On Sunday morning, crime scene tape and deputy vehicles were visible near this scene. And WINK News video captured a white Lexus with its windows shattered as well as that car being towed away. WINK News did reach out to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for information bout this death investigation. LCSO says this is an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the community. They also said all of the people involved had been accounted for. That same neighbor told WINK News they also heard some screams and a “bang” noise around 1 a.m. on Sunday.
