A woman is devastated after she says her family members stole from her on the same day of her late husband’s viewing.

The thieves are accused of taking over $200,000 worth of belongings.

A surveillance video shows three family members walking up a set of stairs before getting away with the stolen items.

WINK News went to the home on Washington Loop Road in Punta Gorda.

The police arrested the three so-called family members Kim Ferguson said ripped her off, but there’s no sign of her stuff.

Kim Ferguson lost the love of her life, then lost nearly everything else.

“I felt like my heart was already torn out laid on the ground, and then they’re stepping on me,” Ferguson said.

Ferguson’s husband Gary died in January. So she invited her two step-sons to stay with her along with a stepdaughter-in-law.

But on the day of the viewing instead of offering their support, Ferguson said the trio stole from her.

She went to the airport to pick up her son and when she got home everything of value was gone.

“I went up to my bedroom and all my drawers were open. My socks were pulled apart. I mean, it was a horrible scene. I mean, they’ve gone through everything in my bedroom and in my closets and it was such a violation. I mean, that’s where I pray,” Ferguson said.

What her stepsons didn’t know is that security cameras captured it all.

“I kept watching over and over and over and I kept getting sick,” Ferguson said.

Ferguson said that Herbert Ennis III and Brian and Donna Ferguson were on the video running up the stairs of her home to steal her belongings.

“It’s indescribable. It was hard for me to even go up there. But now I have locks on every single door. Even my bedrooms,” Ferguson said.

Ferguson said they took her husband’s cellphone, so she doesn’t even have her husband’s last words to listen to.

Ferguson still doesn’t have her stuff back

The three suspects face charges of grand theft between $750 and $5,000, larceny, and unarmed burglary of an occupied dwelling.
