Two people from Fort Myers have been arrested after Florida Highway Patrol troopers found them in a stolen truck Tuesday morning.

Troopers say they responded to a report of a suspicious pickup truck in a neighborhood near the Sanibel Causeway just after 4 a.m.

When troopers arrived, they found the truck at Davis Road and Heald Lane. They say the truck was reported stolen out of Fort Lauderdale.

Inside the truck, Kevin O’Kane, 37, of Fort Myers, and passenger Leandra Carriero, 29, of Fort Myers, were taken into custody while troopers investigated.

Troopers say they found drugs, drug paraphernalia, and stolen credit cards in the duo’s possession.
