The site of a drive-by shooting on Justice Circle in Immokalee, Friday, April 7, 2023. Credit: WINK News A drive-by shooting sent someone to the hospital on Friday after neighbors heard the gunshots and a child ran for cover in Immokalee. No arrests have been made since 5 p.m., but deputies cleared the scene shortly after 4 p.m., taking the yellow tape down around the scene at Justice Circle. Neighbors that WINK News spoke with were too afraid to go on camera. They were afraid of potential retaliatory attacks from whoever sent the victim to the hospital. Shell casings littered the road, and some neighbors said they heard all of the shots. They saw a black car speed away from the scene. Detectives said this is still an active investigation and do not believe there is danger to the public.
