Friday brings isolated rain chances, record heat

High temperatures will reach the low 90s and upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. Many locations will experience more record heat between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Winds will primarily blow at 5 to 10 mph.

Boaters can expect great conditions on the water. One- to two-foot Gulf wave heights are in the forecast, with a light chop within our bays and inland waters..

A few weak showers will be possible in the morning and afternoon, with more substantial rain chances holding off until Friday evening and later. The highest rain totals will be focused along the coastline. Severe weather is not expected. Rain chances will return to each day of our seven-day forecast.
