A teacher at Diplomat Middle School was arrested on Friday after police say he sent a picture of his genitals to a student.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, Joseph Michael Reynolds, 30, was arrested after a school resource officer told police about a possible inappropriate relationship between Reynolds and a student. An SVU investigation revealed that Reynolds provided the student with his phone number to correspond through text, eventually leading to him sending the photo.

Reynolds was then transported to the Lee County Jail. He faces a charge of transmission of material harmful to a minor.
