Collier County deputies are investigating a suspicious death on Bayshore Drive in East Naples. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation is in the 2700 block of Bayshore Drive. Authorities are describing the incident as a murder-suicide. CCSO said the scene was related to a Golden Gate Estates death later in the evening. One woman said she heard gunshots at the scene. When WINK News arrived at 2740 Bayshore Dr., crime scene tape surrounded the parking lot at the plaza. Detectives spent a few hours taking pictures and searching for evidence. The investigation quickly led deputies to 27th Street SW in Golden Gate Estates, where they believed the suspect may be located. CCSO said the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a path leading into a wooded area at the end of 27th Street SW.
