Expect a national public alert test across electronics this week

Expect another notification to blow up your phone this week: many electronics across the United States will be affected by a national test.

FEMA and the FCC will be using the integrated public alert and warning system to prepare for emergencies.

This will affect radio, television and phones.

The alert will take place Wednesday, around 2:20 p.m. Backup testing will be expected Oct. 11.
