In another fight for more pay, Lee County teachers voted on their new contract during a meeting, with 93% saying yes. Veteran teachers with over 20 years of experience will get an 11.5% pay hike. New teachers coming into the district get a starting salary of $50,000. The school board will take a final vote on the deal on Tuesday.
