Getting back to the beach this Memorial Day weekend. Businesses on Sanibel and Captiva told WINK News they’re ready for the wave of tourism. For the past year and a half, the islands have been fighting to bounce back since Ian. They’ve been busy rebuilding to make this possible. Hotels are booked with their no vacancy signs hanging proudly outside their properties. It’s night and day compared to last Memorial Day weekend.
