Hot afternoon with scattered storms this evening

The Weather Authority is tracking hot temperatures with storms expected to develop along the east of I-75 in the afternoon and into the evening.

Weather Authority Meteorologist Zach Maloch said, “This afternoon, expect a drier day along the coast with scattered showers and storms to develop this evening east of I-75.”

Maloch then mentioned that scattered showers are forecasted for the remainder of the workweek with “feels like” temperatures ranging from 97-103°.

A few showers will develop through the afternoon with scattered showers and storms continuing through the evening.

Tuesday’s storms look to favor communities along and just east of I-75. Before the storms pop up, temperatures will get quite hot.

Highs in the mid-90s with “feels like” temperatures ranging from 95 – 99°.

Wednesday will begin a touch more humid and milder with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

Temperatures will be a bit hotter with highs in the mid 90s Wednesday afternoon. “Feels like” temperatures will range from 97 – 101°.

Scattered showers and storms will develop in the afternoon with more of those closer to the coast through the evening. 

Temperatures Monday will begin milder and in the mid to upper 70s.

While the morning will begin dry, scattered rain and storms will once again develop in the afternoon and evening.

Thursday’s storms look to develop more inland with drier conditions along the coast.

Highs in the lower to mid 90s with “feels like” temperatures ranging from 98 – 103°. 

Hurricane season is here and the Weather Authority is forecasting quiet conditions in the tropics.

Remember, this Atlantic Hurricane Season is forecast to be very active so take advantage of the two week ‘Sales Tax Holiday’ through June 14.
