Construction work to repair storm drains have begun on Bald Eagle Drive in Collier County.

According to Marco Island City Hall, crews began repair work on some of the storm drainage systems on Monday on Bald Eagle Drive near Marco Lake Drive and Goldenrod Avenue.

Traffic cones and barrels will be used to temporarily shift the Northbound lanes to accommodate the construction.

The turn lanes in the area will be affected. Waste collection, mail and emergency response services are not anticipated to be affected.

The city asks drivers to slow down for workers and drive with caution.

Construction is expected to be completed by July 22.
