“A toasty Sunday is on tap across Southwest Florida,” said The Weather Authority Meteorologist Lauren Kreidler.

A Heat Advisory has been issued for Collier County until 6:00 p.m. due to ‘feels-like’ temperatures up to 112 degrees in the afternoon.

We will again see scattered storms develop in the afternoon hours with some increasing clouds.

“Heavy downpours and localized heavy rain are possible within some of the stronger storms that pop up,” added Kreidler.

Looking ahead to the workweek, an ample amount of moisture will lead to more scattered storms.

Temperatures will be in the low to mid-90s for our highs for the week.

No tropical development is expected in the next 7 days.
