(Credit: Charlotte County) The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will convene for its next meeting on Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Family Services Center, located at 21500 Gibraltar Drive in Port Charlotte. The meeting’s agenda includes several key items: reviewing and approving annual expenditure and encumbrance reports, receiving updates on various housing programs, and evaluating affordable housing incentive strategies. Additionally, the committee will finalize proposed modifications to the Charlotte HOME program, which will be forwarded for County Commission approval. They will also consider technical revisions to the Local Housing Assistance Plan and provide updates from committee members. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meeting and offer their input on the discussed agenda items.
