One person has been detained after police and a SWAT team were seen on a scene in northwest Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Police Department responded to the unspecified incident on Northwest 13th Place near Diplomat Parkway and El Dorado Boulevard North on Wednesday morning. Early reports of the scene showed guns and riot shields drawn by both SWAT and CCPD. One person has been detained; however, why the person is handcuffed remains unknown. According to a source, A shooting occurred near Northwest 25th Place; then the suspect traveled in the area of Northwest 13th Place. The CCPD has not confirmed that information; however, the public information officer did confirm that one person was killed in a shooting and that the scene remains an isolated incident. CCPD also confirmed that the suspect is not on the run. Police have not confirmed if the two scenes are related.
