Charlotte County officials held a news conference regarding the potential impacts of Hurricane Helene.

During Thursday’s conference, Emergency Management Director Patrick Fuller commented on the severity of the storm in Charlotte County.

Multiple roads have been closed due to flooding, and storm surges have been reported throughout the area.

Charlotte County has sustained several instances of tropical force gusts.

Fuller then shifted the podium to Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummel.

Prummel reiterated the abovementioned points, stating that several roads were closed due to the storm’s impact.

Barricades have been placed to prevent motorists from traveling through the flooded roadways.
