A submerged car has neighbors worried that their pond will become polluted. One neighbor told WINK News that the vehicle has been in the pond since Hurricane Helene.

It happened along Waterway Bay Drive in the Island Park Woods neighborhood.

This normally peaceful, serene spot in Island Park Woods has become a cause for concern for many neighbors.

A resident of the community reached out to WINK News about the car.

One man said he’s tired of looking at it, and he’s concerned about it polluting the water. He’s lived in the community for more than 20 years and has never seen anything like this happen.

“Some guy was making food delivery in the neighborhood, and we were all underwater here. He turned and went right into the lake, and I’m concerned now because our lake is treated. We take care of keeping it clean, and it’s been there since the day after the hurricane.

Neighbors said they hope law enforcement can do something about it quickly.
