A Punta Gorda man has been arrested after he allegedly stole $30,000 worth of marijuana and merchandise from a dispensary.

Charlotte County deputies responded to the Curaleaf dispensary on Kings Highway just before 3 a.m. on Sept. 27.

Deputies said it was clear someone pried their way into the back door.

When they reviewed the security footage they saw 23-year-old Tyrese Jackson wearing a mask, gloves and carrying tools with tags still on them to pry open that door.

Everything he was wearing and the tools he used were also allegedly stolen.

Jackson was arrested during a traffic stop the next day.

Deputies found multiple Curaleaf packages at his home, as well as the stolen clothing and tools taken from a Walmart.
