A 12-foot alligator has been removed from the backyard of a home in a Cape Coral neighborhood.
A neighbor found the gator on Sawgrass Lake Court in the Coral Lakes community earlier this week.
It was removed from a backyard and had to be dragged out with a pickup truck. You can watch part of the video below:

WINK News asked the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for more details about what happened to the gator.
FWC provided the following statement:
On October 14, 2024, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) received a report of a nuisance alligator in a pond behind a private residence in Cape Coral, Lee County. A contracted nuisance alligator trapper was dispatched and removed the 11’9” alligator. The alligator was live transferred to an alligator farm.
