3 life sentences for Anne Lang, Alva woman guilty of DUI manslaughter

Published: Updated:

Anne Lang, the woman found guilty on three counts of DUI manslaughter and three counts of vehicular homicide, has been sentenced to three life sentences.

The three life sentences will be served concurrently.

For the DUI manslaughter charge, 14 years will be served concurrently.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Lang was behind the wheel in January of 2021 when she killed 42-year-old Enedino Galindo and his daughters, 13-year-old Keanna Galindo and 15-ear-old Aryana Galindo.

She was going 100 mph.

Then in March of 2024, Lang ditched her trial and was reported missing. U.S. marshals found her several days later in Lakeland.

Thursday afternoon, several of the victims’ family members came to the podium and spoke before the court.

“Family relationships and bonds have been broken forever due to one person’s selfish hurtful to drive drunk,” a family member said.

“Now my father doesn’t get to hold his kids and grandkids and call them their nicknames,” another family member said.

Some of Lang’s family members were in court Thursday as well.

“It’s been hard. I don’t wanna take anything away from the victims’ family. I think about you every day, but it’s hard on my family; it’s hard on my son,” a family member said.

One family member pleaded with the judge to decrease her sentencing.

“Anne is a great mom. I have never seen such a young parent spend as much hands-on time with their children. Your Honor, please have mercy on Anne’s sentencing.”

The Galindo family told us their three angels won’t be back, but this is a step toward healing and peace.

There is a $2,000 fine on each DUI count.

Lang can never drive again. Not even a golf cart.
