Published: Updated:

Several different agencies are at Alfie Oakes’ home and packing house, including federal officials.

They started to appear at his home in North Naples on Thursday.

Several law enforcement departments were also seen at Oakes Farm packing house, including the Secret Service.

There are also agents with the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Inspector General on the scene.

“We can confirm the presence of DCIS agents conducting law enforcement activity at that address, but we have no additional information to provide at this time,” said a spokesperson of the Office of Legislative Affairs and Communications for DCIS writing via email to WINK News.

The IRS also confirmed to us that their team was out there Thursday to conduct official business.

We know that the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, FBI nor Customs are involved. They responded to our inquiries and told us so.

The Florida Highway Patrol was also on the scene and told WINK News they are assisting a couple of agencies and securing the roadway as agencies complete their tasks.

They said that FHP often does this while agencies are on the scene.

The reason for the presence of investigators remains currently unknown.

Oakes is the founder and CEO of Oakes Farms and was State Committeeman for the Republican Party of Florida.

He also owns the Seed To Table supermarket in North Naples.

Alfie Oakes was on the scene of his packing store when WINK News arrived.

As he left the property, he told us, “No comment.” When we asked what was being investigated, he would not say and responded, “I’m good.”

The Secret Service told us, “We are unable to provide comment as the U.S. Secret Service will not confirm the existence or status of an investigation.”

We have reached out to the Department of Justice and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service and have not yet heard back.
