Several federal and state law enforcement agencies were at Alfie Oakes’ home and packing house for an investigation that remains undisclosed. They started to appear at his home in North Naples on Thursday and were on the scene for several hours before leaving just before 4 p.m. Several law enforcement departments were also seen at Oakes Farm packing house, including the Secret Service, the IRS and the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Inspector General on the scene. Dashcam footage showed numerous unmarked cars arriving at the facility, as well as officials equipping themselves with gloves and stacks of paper. Some of the federal investigators seen at Oakes Farm. CREDIT: WINK News. Oakes was on the scene of his packing store when WINK News arrived. As he left the property in his blue Range Rover with a “Trump 2024” decal covering a passenger door and “Save America” on the vehicle’s quarter panel, he smiled and told us, “Go Trump!” When we asked him what authorities were doing at the scene, he replied, “I’m not sure.” When we asked him if he had anything to say, he replied, “No. Everything is all good.” We asked whether the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, FBI or U.S. Customs were involved in the investigation, and they all responded they were not. The Florida Highway Patrol was also at both scenes and told WINK News they were assisting a couple of agencies and securing the roadway as agencies completed their tasks. They said that FHP often does this while agencies are on the scene. The reason for the presence of investigators remains unknown. Oakes is the founder and CEO of Oakes Farms and was State Committeeman for the Republican Party of Florida. He also owns the Seed To Table supermarket in North Naples. William Whittaker, a Seed to Table customer, said he is curious to see what happens. “I mean, the IRS doesn’t do things impetuously. It’s pretty calculated, so, hopefully, it gets fixed,” said Whittaker. Credit: WINK News The Secret Service told us, “We are unable to provide comment as the U.S. Secret Service will not confirm the existence or status of an investigation.” The Internal Revenue Service and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service, a branch of the Department of Defense, said they are investigating “official business.” We have reached out to the Department of Justice and have not yet heard back.
