FILE IMAGE – Fort Myers Police Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian Monday night in Fort Myers. The crash occurred at Ortiz Avenue and Lavanda Lane. According to the Fort Myers Police Department, there were no other injuries or fatalities. Police say the driver stayed on scene and no arrests were made. As of 11 p.m. Monday night, Ortiz Ave northbound lanes were closed due to the investigation. It is unclear when lanes will reopen.
