FEMA policyholders in Charlotte County have until Dec. 10 to renew certain flood insurance policies.

If hurricanes Helene and Milton impacted you, the extension will prevent a lapse in your coverage.

Provided below is the extension breakdown provided by Charlotte County which have now been extended to Dec. 10, baring one exception:

  • Policies ending on Aug. 28 that were extended to Sept. 26.
  • Policies ending on Sept. 26 that were extended to Oct. 25.
  • Policies ending on Oct. 15 that were extended to Nov. 13.
  • Policies ending on Nov. 1 that were extended to Nov. 30.
  • Policies ending on Nov. 15 remain extended to Dec. 14.

Policyholders have until Dec. 10 to renew their policies, a significant extension from the standard 30-day renewal grace period.

Policyholders whose National Flood Insurance Program policy renewal date is within this range should contact their agent or insurance company.
