The Spay and Neuter Initiative Program has reached a milestone as one Collier County volunteer has captured 1,000 feral cats.

Bridget, an SNIP volunteer, breached the milestone on Tuesday due to her tireless dedication to the Trap-Neuter-Return program.

The non-profit organization enlists volunteers to reach out to their community and rescue abandoned and stray animals, which are usually sick or injured.

The organization posted on its Facebook account congratulating Bridget while soliciting donations for newer traps to assist volunteers in capturing feral cats.
