Florida officials react to the passing of Jimmy Carter

The 39th president of the United States, Jimmy Carter, passed away on Dec. 29. An immediate cause was not given.

Florida officials have gone to social media to react to his passing.

Former representative Debbie Mucarsel-Powell sent her condolences to the former president on X.

Congressman Byron Donalds went to X to share his naval connection with the former president before sending prayers to Carter’s family.

Rep. Vern Buchanan went to X to thank Carter for his service to the country.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody took to X to reflect on the life of former president and his late wife, First Lady Rosalynn Carter.
