MIAMI (AP) – Police say nine people who were playing basketball at a Miami park have been injured, one critically, in a drive-by shooting.

Miami-Dade police were still searching for the shooter Tuesday morning. They say they don’t yet have a motive for the Monday afternoon shooting at Arcola Lakes Park.

Authorities say a car approached the courts and a passenger opened fire.

Police say a 16-year-old boy was struck in the head and was listed in serious but stable condition. All other victims were shot in extremities.

Eight of the victims were between the ages of 16 and 21 years old. One victim’s age was not immediately available.

The suspects fled. Police say they were in a dark, newer-model Nissan Maxima.
