New high-rise tower units selling in Bonita Bay

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.- The Ronto company is selling units in its planned high-rise tower, Seaglass. It will be 26 stories with 120 units, with an average price of $1.6 million.

The return of the high-rise to the local market is quite a change from the recession years, when very little housing was built in this area.

“The timing is perfect, people are feeling comfortable about the economy,” said Billie Jans, a Seaglass sales associate.

“People are not blinking at the price. They want the views and the ‘turn-key’ aspect of the tower, with no maintenance,” she added.

Some people wonder about the high prices.

Resident Greg Ritz tells WINK News, “I don’t know how people get that kind of money. Unless they are borrowing it. I know I don’t have $1.6 million!”

Ronto hopes to sell 60 units this winter and spring, and if it does, it will hope to break ground on the tower next fall.  Occupancy then would be the fall of 2017 or winter of 2018.

The Seaglass is located in Bonita Bay, and the company is promoting the amenities that owners would enjoy in that community — activities ranging from tennis to golf to hiking and beach access.
