FORT MYERS. Fla. – As a major winter storm hits the Northeast, it continues to impact air travel across the country and here in Southwest Florida.

JetBlue was hit the hardest at RSW on Tuesday, as all of their flights in and out of Southwest Florida International Airport had to be cancelled due to the winter weather.

Flights were able to arrive Monday night but some airlines including JetBlue, were forced to leave their aircraft just sitting on the tarmac overnight and through the day Tuesday until conditions up North improve.

In all 54 out of 220 flights were cancelled at RSW on Tuesday and more than 5,000 cancelled across the country, with thousands other delayed.
