Man arrested for DUI after serious crash on Hancock Bridge Parkway

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A serious crash involving two motorcycles and an SUV stopped traffic at Del Prado Boulevard and Hancock Bridge Parkway for hours Saturday night.

The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. Officers said Joseph Scafuri was driving northbound on Del Prado Boulevard, when he went into the left turn lane and hit a motorcycle. That crash caused a chain reaction. The first motorcycle propelled into a second motorcycle.

One motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Scafuri faces charges for driving under the influence.
