COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.- It’s your money and more than $100,000 of it may help a local business expand.

Position Logic, LLC is a GPS tracking company that has been here since 2007. They offer tracking software to businesses worldwide.

“We’re in a very explosive industry you know, as we continue to look forward to provide better services and a lot more selection for our customers in order to do that we need people,” said Felix Lluberes, who is the founder of the company.

Now they’re looking to relocate because they’ve outgrown their office off of Immokalee Road in North Naples.

“Bonita has a lot of options, not only that when you look at the economics it makes a lot of sense,” said Lluberes.

But, the Collier County Office of Business & Economic Development doesn’t want them to go. So they’re proposing that commissioners approve $117,600 of tax payer money to help keep them here.

“If they’re going to produce more jobs I would say it’s fine,” said resident Maraline Rane.

Lluberes said they want to hire about 40 people. The county said it wants to do everything possible to keep Collier competitive.

“Collier County expects to have a very progressive and productive information technology company that will help us diversify our economy, provide jobs for our local citizens and increase our overall productivity for the community,” said Bruce Register, Director of the Office of Business & Economic Development.

“It will be very hard for companies, like us, without incentives, without this type of plan from the Collier County government to be able to really stay because at a certain level or size and scale every dollar really counts,” said Lluberes.

If approved, the money would be distributed to Position Logic over a four year period.
